Description
This is known as the "wind relieving posture" because it helps release trapped digestive gas from the stomach and intestines. The Sanskrit words ardha and pavana indicate half, air or wind, and mukta, liberation or release.
How to reach the stretch
- Lie down on your back in Shavasana .
- Now, pull it with both hands while folding your leg.
- Lower your knee to your chest.
- After holding the position for a while, try the same with the opposite leg.

To release, Come back to the shavasana position and relax.
