Acne & Pimples
To address acne and pimples, extract the juice of one lemon and mix it with an equal quantity of rose water. Apply this mixture to your face and leave it on for approximately half an hour, then rinse with fresh water. Consistent application over 15 days should provide a remedy.
Another method is to gently massage your face with lemon peel before washing with lukewarm water.
Precaution: Avoid pricking or picking at acne, as this can lead to permanent marks on your face.
Acidity
After meals, try taking one piece of clove (laung) and suck on it slowly. This provides quick relief from acidity and helps prevent related health issues.
Cloves have a direct impact on the digestive process, improving appetite, clearing phlegm, and boosting white blood cell count.
Another effective remedy is consuming jaggery (gud) after meals. About 5 to 10 grams of jaggery helps alleviate acidity, aids digestion, and can expel worms in children.
To combat obesity, boil a cup of water, mix it with fresh lemon juice from half a lemon, and add two spoons of pure honey. Consume this on an empty stomach every morning for 2-3 months. This not only aids in weight loss but also benefits overall stomach health. Note that lemon juice, when used alone, can increase fat.
Special advice for severely overweight individuals:
Have one substantial meal during the day (at lunch) that includes green vegetables. Avoid drinking water during or immediately after lunch; it's best to wait about an hour before consuming water. Avoid tea, coffee, and sweets.
For those who find it difficult to skip water after meals, it's suggested to sip hot water. This practice can help reduce fat and alleviate issues like gas, constipation, and menstrual regulation for women.
For regular constipation, take 10-12 pieces of raisins (munnakka), wash and remove the seeds, and boil them in a glass of milk. After boiling, consume the raisins and drink the milk. This should help regulate bowel movements.
In case of persistent constipation, use this remedy for 3-4 days.
Natural remedies for constipation:
- Bael fruit is an excellent natural laxative that cleanses and tones the intestines.
- Constipation in children can often be relieved by adding bran cereal to their diet.
- Consuming guava with seeds provides dietary roughage, relieving constipation.
- Include more fruits in your diet, such as prunes, pears, grapes, orange juice, and papaya.
- Try a tablespoon of corn syrup in 8 oz of water to alleviate constipation.
- Another remedy is to add extra sugar or honey to a glass of milk and drink it twice a day.
Ear Ache and Infection
For earache and infection, take two cloves of garlic, remove the skin, and place them in two spoons of mustard oil in a small pan. Warm it gently. When the garlic turns black (burns), remove from heat, strain the oil, and, when it's lukewarm, put 2-4 drops in the aching ear. This provides immediate relief, promotes better sleep, and helps eliminate earworms.
Mix equal quantities of onion juice and pure honey, and take two spoons of this mixture once a day. This is an effective remedy for high blood pressure. Continue for about a week, and extend if you see improvements.
Onion juice reduces cholesterol, supports the nervous system, cleanses the blood, aids digestion, alleviates insomnia, and regulates heart function.
Honey soothes the nerves and helps lower high blood pressure. Additional remedies for high blood pressure include:
- Keep clean drinking water in a copper container overnight and drink a glass in the morning.
- Take four basil leaves and two neem (margosa) leaves, grind them with four spoons of water, and consume this mixture on an empty stomach with a glass of water.
- Consume papaya on an empty stomach daily for one month and avoid eating for at least two hours afterward. This practice can help regulate blood pressure.
