Call the doctor if your child develops any of these conditions:
- Dehydrated and unable to keep any fluids down
- Continuing vomiting
- Lethargic (weak and listless)
- Pain or a stiff neck
- Abdominal pain
- Enlarged and painful scrotum ( this is more common with older children or adults & if not treated properly may lead to impotence, so consult doctor immediately )
Go to the hospital's emergency department if your child develops these conditions:
- dehydrated (dry mucous membranes, dry skin, decreased urine output, and change in mental status)
- Listlessness
- Stiff neck
- Persistent abdominal pain and vomiting
- Scrotal pain and enlarged testes
